Single Family Residential Monthly Billing Rates

Residential water services are identified by accounts beginning with the first three digits of 101 through 109, 201 through 207, 301 through 308, or 401 through 407. All residential water services are billed by Valley County Water District on a monthly schedule. Below is an outline of the water service rates included on a Single-Family Residential billing statement:

Fixed Service/Ready to Serve Charge

Fixed amount billed on a monthly basis, or any portion of the month, to all Residential customers for maintaining an active water service account with the District, whether or not any water is used in the billing cycle, and to help fund the necessary and required cost related to maintaining the ability to serve each connection.

Consumption Charge at stage one (water Supply shortage)

Variable amount billed on a monthly basis, or any portion of the month, for all water used within the billing cycle, whether metered or estimated. Water consumption is billed per unit, which equals 100 cubic ft. (CCF) or 748 gallons. (Rate per unit or CCF will vary in accordance with water supply shortage stages.)
